Popular Bollywood Actor To Play WWE Star Great Khali In An Upcoming Biopic?

The latest report coming in from the WWE ring is not about Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strauman. It is a popular Bollywood star that would be playing the role of The Great Khali in a biopic on the giant wrestler. A Bollywood megastar is reportedly in talks to play the character of Khali in his biopic.

If sources are to be believed, popular Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has reportedly given the nod to play The Great Khali in an upcoming biopic. The film will be based on the life of former WWE Superstar who is a onetime WWE World Heavyweight Champion. A leading and reputed film studio in India has acquired the rights to the film from Khali himself. Sushant Singh Rajput has been almost finalized for the project where he will be seen playing the role of former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The film will trace the journey of Khali from his time as a struggling police officer to one of the most dominating figures in WWE. Fans will get an insight of the wrestler’s life which till now has been away from public eye. For the first time, fans will get to see the journey from Punjab to the ring where Khali manhandled the likes of The Undertaker, Kane, The Big Show and John Cena.

Khali’s real name is Dalip Singh Rana. He is one of the few Indian wrestlers to have made their mark in WWE. Khali on his debut destroyed The Undertaker and made a major impact in the World Wrestling Entertainment arena. The 7-foot-plus giant who weight over 400 pounds gained worldwide popularity for his dominating physique. Khali starred in many Hollywood and Bollywood movies and reality shows. His famous Hollywood film is ‘The Longest Yard’ where he was seen alongside Adam Sandler and many other WWE Superstars like Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, and Terry Crews. He was also part of Indian reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’.

Speaking of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Bollywood heartthrob is not new to playing the lead role in biopics. Sushant played the role of former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni titled MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. He also worked on another biopic based on India’s first Paralympic Gold medalist Murlikant Petkar.

When or where the film will go on floors in still under wraps. The remaining cast and script are yet to be officially announced.
