India is fast becoming a hot market and business destination for WWE. The company has held two live shown in the past and is again coming to India in December 2017. The WWE India Tour 2017 has been announced and all the famous WWE Superstars will be live in action. The company has announced that stars like Jinder Mahal, Sasha Banks, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and others would be in action on the 8-9 December in New Delhi.
The WWE Universe fans in India were delighted ever since WWE officially announced the dates for the event. This would be the third time that the World Wrestling Entertainment would be coming to India. WWE had a live event at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi in January last year. This would be the biggest ever WWE event in India and is expected to be a blockbuster affair. The tickets for the event went on sale earlier this month and are priced between Rs 1,699 to Rs 34,999. Last month WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul Michael Levesque or better known as ‘Triple H’ was in India. His visit was a possible indication of inking the final deal of the event.
According to reports and statements by WWE officials, the WWE superstars who are likely to perform include names like Sasha Banks, Braun Strowman, Dean Ambrose, The Miz, Roman Reigns, Alexa Bliss, Seth Rollins and much more. WWE has made special focus on Indian stars and Jinder Mahal would be here with his WWE Championship belt. WWE has made special efforts to expand its popularity in India. In the past decade, the wrestling promotion has made significant efforts to woo the Indian fans. The most notable Indian WWE superstars have been the Great Khali and Jinder Mahal. The latest addition to this list is Kavita Devi, the first female wrestler from India to take part in WWE.
