While the Nintendo Switch was released in a hybrid format which could be used both as handheld and as docked device, there were a lot of apprehensions as to how the device would actually be used; some even went to the extent of saying that it would be a failure and it will be mostly docked to the device. However, the current financial results of Nintendo Switch show that the Nintendo Switch users mostly prefer using the device as a handheld one despite of the presence of smart phones, which were seen as a competitor. Although the device is low in power, the assortment of games released for the same has made it a rage among the users.

The results also show that there are many users of the device who actually prefer using it in a swapped mode i.e. both as a handheld device and a docked one as per their convenience of gaming. It seems that the lowest number of people keep it docked to console. Since it was launched, the device has been selling off like hot cakes and the Nintendo Switch has already sold around 14 million devices, which were mainly bought by the customers aged between 10 to 19 years of age and people in their late 30’s.

The sales figure has crossed the total number of Wii U sold in its total life time. Along with the heavy sales, the producers of Nintendo Switch have also got a better hang of the sales forecast and has a better production schedule which enables them to produce a device when a customer wants it.

With the new tricks, great looking device with a top-notch console design and some really cool games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey has truly made the success of Nintendo Switch a deserving one. Some more really cool games like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Breath of the Wild DLC and others are on their way and will wreak havoc in the upcoming festive season as per the experts.
