The company is offering a chance to creators to earn up to USD 10,000. According to Instagram, creators will get a bonus as part of the Reels Play bonus program. The cash reward is aimed at encouraging creators to share content on Reels.
Those who post video content on Reels will be entitled to get the bonus. The company said that its decision will attract more content creators to post videos on Reels. It is, however, unclear if the bonus program is also for the users. Instagram said that it is currently testing the bonus program. The testing is being done with a small group of creators. Under the new bonus program, a creator having followers of more than 50,000 made USD 1,000 in a month.
Some creators with more followers than 50,000 earned just a USD 600 bonus from the company. Some creators were offered USD 800 bonus in a month by Instagram on reaching 1.7 million views on all Reels. Instagram said that plan is to make bonuses more personalized in the coming months. It added that bonuses under the program are not available to all Reels users. It is limited to creators based in the US.
