The Last of Us part II panel for the PlayStation Experience has disclosed more particulars about the highly expected sequel to the emotionally imposed video game, which was first launched back in 2013. The follow-up to The Last of Us was officially declared at the 2016 PlayStation Experience. And now after waiting for one year there’s a bit more one gets to know about the forthcoming survival horror title.

The console for The Last of Us Part II at 2017 PlayStation Experience was kicked-off by one performance from the Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, the voices of the protagonists of game Joel and Ellie. They executed “Wayfaring Stranger” to set the mood for the panel before their seats were taken by rest of it’s’ members.

The director of the game, Neil Druckmann, retrieved several questions respect to the sequel. One of the details that were confirmed by him was that the huge part of The Last of Us Part II will be held in Seattle, Washington. Fans have displayed clues during the announcement of the game trailer regarding the placement, which includes road signs and landmarks, and now Druckman has confirmed that the theories there are true. However, the director itself didn’t disclose any thing about where else will the event of The Last of Us will take place.

Druckman even signalled about the darker theme altogether it has now for The Last of Us Part II that has caused concern among the Joel and Ellie’s fan. Whilst director further said that there will be even heart-warming moments in the game, and the story is related to the pursuing sense for justice, and a clumsy gray area that players who have completed the original part of The Last of Us are well aware of it.

As per Druckman, the game is almost 50-60% complete. He also affirmed that The Last of Us Part II will most probably make an appearance in E3 of next year, and most expected, launch date will also revealed then, as there wasn’t any revelation for release date this time.
