Looks like Manchester United is in no mood to stop the shopping yet. The Old Trafford club is ready to splash millions as soon as the 2018 transfer window opens up. Reportedly, Jose Mourinho is all but set to sign 27-year-old Tottenham and England left-back Danny Rose. The faint news came last summer when the United boss Mourinho had his sights on one of the Premier League’s most exciting left-backs.

Interestingly Tottenham also doesn’t want to hold back the defender from making a move to Old Trafford. According to reports, the left-back has not been included in Tottenham’s 2018 calendar. This has further added fuel to the speculation that the left-back could well be on his way to Manchester United next season. On the personal front, Danny Rose misses his family and wants to play on the northern side of the country. The defender hails from Doncaster which lies in the northern part of the country much closer to Manchester than London.

Rose has just made his comeback after suffering a knee injury. The left-back was out of action for eight months and is yet to start in the playing eleven for Spurs. The England international has been ready on Manchester United’s radar and the Red Devils are ready to splash a whopping £50million during the winter transfer window. The club will look to land Danny Rose in an exciting New Year bid.

Rose has spent the majority of his career at Spurs having joined the club a decade ago. Danny Rose recently intended to play close to his home at Yorkshire while Mourinho is still figuring out the void left by Luke Shaw. Ashley Young and Daley Blind have been instrumental however Luke Shaw is still slow in progress.

Mourinho now wants to fix his left back problem and Danny Rose looks the perfect option. Rose would fulfill two positions for Manchester United, playing as a left back who can also work as a winger and even a striker at set pieces. Now it is interesting to understand how Manchester United and Tottenham would manage the transfer as Spurs have their Champions League aspirations underway. Spurs have managed to make it to the knock out stages of Champions League and it looks difficult for United to snatch him from White Hart Lane.
