Recently, Bungie has given a more detailed insight into the changes that can be expected for Destiny 2. Bungie had already mentioned that they will be soon releasing such details, especially after the complaints had been launched. The fans have made their disappointment known on realizing that there is a major lack in Bungie’s relationship with their customers and also because there is no proper end game. The preview released by Bungie was done to deal with these problems and this has replaced the Curse of Osiris Livestream which was cancelled.
This month will see two more updates from Bungie and they have promised to release the update along with the Curse of Osiris on the 5th of December which will include a change on getting mods from Banshee that will also introduce specific Legendary mods along with Kinetic Weapons, but their lineups will differ almost daily. The next update is due on the 12th of December which will provide players with Masterworks version of legendary weapons that are designed to track skills, Display them and crate orbs while acquiring multiple kills. These will also be available for purchase from Faction vendors. Also the players will be able to buy Fated Engrams with weekly offers from Xur. Also, new versions can be expected from Zavala and Shaxx and the Engram will require tokens and once the potential vendors have them, they will be notified.
Regarding the complaints lodged, director Luke Smith has said that Bungie will have to work on being “more open” especially when it comes to dealing with their customers. Bungie now seems to be focused on delivering a particular game to its players which can be enjoyed in a log term basis. As studio project leader Barrette states, “Going forward, Destiny 2’s post-launch game systems, features, and updates are being designed specifically to focus on and support players who want Destiny to be their hobby–the game they return to, and a game where friendships are made. We want Destiny to be a game that fits into your life, providing you with reasons to log in and play with your friends, clans, and families. We want Destiny to be a world you want to be a part of.”
