Starting in October 2015, the medication had undergone a priority review by the “Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare” of Japan. Shionogi file for this approval during the Autumn in 2017. Compared to the Tamiflu that requires two doses per day for five long days, seemingly only one dose of Xofluza will be required for treating the flu. Despite the approval of Xofluza, people will need to wait till the National insurance of Japan sets a price for this new flu medication.
